1. Make A Routine

One thing that a lot of people get wrong about working out outdoors is that they don’t put thought into a structured routine.

2. Use Body Weight

3. Run

One of the most efficient ways to work out and get in better shape while outdoors is to jog and/or run. You don’t have to push yourself. You can even take it easy. Simply jog around the block a few times and work your way up to longer runs. This is a fantastic way to increase your cardiovascular endurance while also putting a little bit of healthy strain on your muscles, bones, and joints.

4. Do Sprints

Once you get the jogging part of your workout down, you may want to graduate to doing full-fledged sprints. Now, sprints get a bit of a bad rap in the sense that they’re pretty difficult, and they really wear you out fast. But they also burn a ton of calories. Plus, they really amp up your heart rate to get that aerobic workout on-point, to help improve heart health and blood pressure levels. Take it easy at first. But over time, practice doing some short sprints in small bursts to really crank up the quality of your workouts. You can start really small with these. Just do one quick 50-foot sprint, and see how you feel. Then, do another. If the ‘running’ motion hurts you in any way, make sure to stop and check your form. You definitely don’t want to injure yourself—and checking your form, to make sure that you’re ‘sprinting’ correctly, can really help to cut down on the odds of this happening. 

5. Stay Safe

One of the fastest ways to ruin your outdoor workout routine is to get injured. This can happen via an automobile accident, a workout injury, a twisted ankle, etc. So make sure that you always have your phone with you so that you can call for help if need be. Also, stay aware and try not to do things that will put you in danger.
